With your support we can help people take control of their lives and make positive changes.

How your money helps

  • Just £3 could pay for us to answer a concerned individual’s phone call and give initial advice, starting them on their road to recovery.

  • £10 could pay for three people to be screened for potentially deadly viruses, such as Hepatitis B.

  • £50 could fund a home visit to an elderly person who is isolated and in need of support.

  • £200 could pay for us to provide secondary school pupils at risk of substance misuse with a specialist six-week programme.

For every £1 we receive, 97.7p is spent on our charitable activities, helping people struggling with their drug or alcohol use or with mental health concerns.

Some of the projects you're supporting

Reaching people online

addaction webchat advisor

In July 2017 we launched web chat, a free and confidential online service for people who need support. Our webchat is staffed by trained drug and alcohol counsellors. In the last year we spoke to 11,000 people and we're looking to expand the service so we can reach even more people in need.

Reducing self harm

young people - webchat

Our award winning Mind and Body programme works with young people involved in or vulnerable to self-harm. Our teams help young people to develop communication, self-expression and assertiveness skills. Last year we reached 6,615 young people and we have exciting plans to expand in the UK.
