With your support we can help people take control of their lives and make positive changes.

How your money helps

  • Just £8.40 can pay for one support session with a trained adviser through our Webchat service.

  • £18 can save someone’s life by providing a naloxone kit which can reverse the effects of an overdose.

  • £40 can pay for us to deliver prevention work in a school assembly or workshop.

  • £100 can pay for a course of vaccination for Hepatitis B.

  • £423 can provide one person with all the support they need to recover from problems with drugs, alcohol or their mental health.

For every £1 we receive, 97.7p is spent on our charitable activities, helping people struggling with their drug or alcohol use or with mental health concerns.

Some of the projects you're supporting

Reaching people online

addaction webchat advisor

In July 2017 we launched web chat, a free and confidential online service for people who need support. Our webchat is staffed by trained drug and alcohol counsellors. In the last year we spoke to 11,000 people and we're looking to expand the service so we can reach even more people in need.

Reducing self harm

young people - webchat

Our award winning Mind and Body programme works with young people involved in or vulnerable to self-harm. Our teams help young people to develop communication, self-expression and assertiveness skills. Last year we reached 6,615 young people and we have exciting plans to expand in the UK.
