How to find us

Young Addaction Buckinghamshire is an outreach service (we visit service users in a place which is convenient to them within the Buckinghamshire area).

Please note that service users can be seen in the evenings as all the work is flexible and arranged to meet the needs of the service user.

What we offer

Young Addaction Buckinghamshire delivers a holistic service to young people and families/carers impacted by substance use across Buckinghamshire. We empower individuals to make positive changes to their lives.

We provide one-to-one support work which encompasses harm reduction interventions, advice and information, brief interventions and structured psychosocial interventions to minimise the impact of substance misuse on the service user and their families/Carers.

We have specialist Hidden Harm provision that supports children and young people impacted by parental substance use. This is done jointly with the adult substance misuse service One Recovery Bucks.

We have a specialist Targeted worker who provides drug awareness talks and a drop in service within local schools and pupil referral units.

We provide advice and guidance to young people/families in all aspects of drug and or alcohol use.

We support referrals into all appropriate services and work with a focused multi agency approach.

We ensure that safeguarding underpins all the work we do. Where appropriate, we work closely with Schools, Youth Offending Service, Social Care, Mental Health Services as well as other partner agencies in order to provide a holistic treatment plan to support the service user and their families/carers .

“You taught me life skills that I will always have now and you changed my life so much for the better. I’m proud of the person I’ve become and that you helped shape, I think I’ve achieved a point now that whatever happens in my life I know I will be ok.”
