What we offer
Stoke Recovery Service is an abstinent based recovery centre, supporting residents of Stoke on Trent who have had substance misuse issues but have made the decision to become abstinent and are motivated to building a fulfilling recovery lifestyle. The service offer’s one to one support, groups and meaningful activities along with opportunities of peer support in a safe environment. The service is Service user led and those in recovery can access the innovation fund for recovery based activities. The service also offers a rent deposit scheme that service users can apply for which will assist them in moving to more recovery appropriate accommodation and environment.
The service also offers support within the community to those who are struggling with making changes and have low motivation to change. We also offer support for affected others.
Addaction offer volunteer opportunities and welcome applications. In Stoke on Trent these run through our partner BAC O’Connor Centre with their volunteer gateway programme for people in recovery who would like to volunteer. Please contact the BAC O'Connor Centre to find out more.
The service is welcoming, supportive and caring. We aim to assess and meet the individual needs of each person who accesses the service helping the individuals develop new skills, have new experiences and make new friendships. We have a focus on building a strong recovery community that is accessible and visible across Stoke on Trent.
