What we offer

We give free and confidential support to individuals and families affected by drugs and alcohol. We have specific services for young people and also counselling for adults affected by childhood trauma. We accept self-referrals as well as referrals from family members, NHS workers, social services, police or any other support agency. You can phone, email or write to us, or refer through SCI Gateway.

The South Lanarkshire service of Addaction Scotland gives people practical and emotional support, including:

  • advice and information (in person or over the phone)
  • drug/alcohol interventions
  • motivational support, including post-detox
  • peer mentors
  • onwards referrals
  • support for families
  • young people's work
  • addictions counselling relating to childhood trauma
  • support for people with viral hepatitis
