This week some of our Kent young people were in London to promote a film they made about their experiences of the Mind and Body programme. One of the group, Will, and Rick Bradley (Mind and Body’s Operations Manager) spoke live on BBC World about the need to talk openly about mental health, and the pressures of doing so as a young man. A separate interview with other Mind and Body participants will be shown on Sunday Politics in the South East this weekend.
The boys’ film - ‘Step Out of the Crowd’ - has now been entered into the Charity Film Awards where it has gone out to a public vote. You can view the film in full and (vote for it!) via this link.
Mind and Body aims to support young people involved in or deemed vulnerable to self harming behaviours who do not meet the thresholds of specialist mental health services. Visit our Mind and Body page to find out more about the programme.
