Addaction, one of the UK’s leading drugs, alcohol and mental health charities, announces today that Guy Pink, Interim CEO and Executive Director of Human Resources, will resign at the end of July after 12 years of service. Addaction’s new CEO Mike Dixon will be fully embedded in his new role before Mr Pink’s departure.

Lord Alex Carlile, Chair of the Board of Trustees, said:

"Addaction delivers effective treatment services that benefit over 75,000 vulnerable adults, young people and families across the UK every year. Guy has ensured a smooth transition between senior leaders at both Trustee and CEO level and managed the Interim CEO role with tenacity, dignity and aplomb. Guy will be hugely missed, but he leaves behind a strong and confident organisation for Mike, the Board and the Executive team.

"On behalf of the Trustee Board, and the staff of Addaction, I would like to thank Guy for his immense contribution to the success of the organisation, and wish him every success for the future."

Guy Pink said:

“I have had the privilege to work for an organisation that has stolen my heart. I am always humbled by the passion and commitment of our staff and volunteers. There have been so many achievements: seeing Addaction move into new markets such as prescribing, mental health and now primary care. I am now looking forward to my next chapter, redefining retirement with a portfolio career.”

Mike Dixon, Addaction’s new CEO, said “Guy will be sorely missed at Addaction – his calm, professional demeanour combined with a solution-focused approach has been an exceptional asset. I wish him well for the next phase of his career.”
