Clinical expertise

Addaction directly employs a range of clinical staff, from doctors and nurses to psychologists and pharmacists. As you would expect, we have a range of formal processes to oversee their work and to ensure that we keep up to date with best practice.

Our senior staff come together as part of a Quality and Clinical Governance group which ensures that all aspects of quality improvement are addressed, using the framework offered by the seven pillars of clinical governance: Audit, Clinical Effectiveness and Research, Risk Management, Education and Training, Patient and Public Involvement (PPI), Using Information and IT, and Staffing and Staff Management.

Addaction’s commitment to quality assurance is demonstrated by organisational ISO-9001 certification (management and administration of drug and alcohol treatment support services) and ISO-14001 certification (Environmental Management).
