Chy-Colom is a second stage, residential rehabilitation centre in Truro, Cornwall - encompassing individually-tailored programmes of support for people with drug and/or alcohol issues. It offers high quality addiction treatment by a dedicated, committed and enthusiastic team.
The one building houses 12 beds for male and female clients, where expert support is available 24 hours a day. There, service users are helped with all aspects of their treatment, including: Life-skills such as cooking, budgeting and household duties; Recovery tools such as relapse prevention and developing a recovery network; Personal development training including assertiveness, self-esteem and coping strategies. Training and education opportunities are also key elements of the successful and holistic treatment programme.
Since May 2012, Addaction have been able to offer, in conjuction with Rezolve Social Enterprises, fantastic volunteer and work placements for service users. Placements are available in areas such as retail, furniture and domestic appliance repair and refurbishment, bike repair, marketing and administration. Service users accessing Chy-Colom have the chance to experience this whilst in treatment and as part of their after-care package. For more information check out their website www.myresource.org.uk.
We offer a 12 week programme which can be extended and our fees are £680 per week.
We are registered with the Care Quality Control for both male and female clients, with a strategic programme aiming towards total abstinence. Individuals are admitted on the provision that they have remained drug and alcohol free for five days.
