Running events

6th July 2008 – British 10K London Run

The route of the eighth annual British 10K London Run takes you past St James’ Palace, Trafalgar Square, St Paul’s Cathedral, the Millennium Bridge, the London Eye, Big Ben and Westminster Abbey – before you cross the finish line in Whitehall.

It’s an extremely popular race (selling out for the last three years) so you might want to sign up early to avoid disappointment. To join up with Team Addaction for this event, you simply have to pay a £25 (including VAT) registration fee and pledge to raise £150 in sponsorship.

12 October 2008 – Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon, London

12,500 runners will race through four Royal parks, taking in superb views of Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye, Marble Arch and the Royal Albert Hall.

We have a limited number of places that would guarantee you an entry into the half marathon.

To join up with Team Addaction for this event, you simply have to pay a £50 (plus VAT) registration fee and pledge to raise £550 in sponsorship.

For your troubles, we’ll send you a welcome pack filled with fundraising tips and expert advice on training and nutrition. March 2009 – Adidas Silverstone Half Marathon, Northamptonshire

Ever dreamt of racing at Silverstone?

By joining Team Addaction you’ll get the chance to run around this world famous race course.All you have to do to register a place is visit www.adidashalfmarathon.co.uk to register online.

April 26th 2009– Flora London Marathon

If you feel inspired to enter the 29th annual London Marathon, we’d be delighted to hear from you. We have guaranteed places for anyone who wants to take place in this world-famous event on behalf of Addaction.

To join up with Team Addaction for this event, you simply have to pay a £100 (including VAT) registration fee and pledge to raise £1350 in sponsorship.

You can also enter a ballot for the 2009 Londdon Marathon to secure your own place. If you’re successful, we’d love to hear from you.

Parachuting

There are three different types of parachute jump that you can choose from, and no experience is needed.

All you have to do is raise a minimum amount of sponsorship money and both the training and the jump itself are free. All of the money you raise will go directly into funding our work.
